Thank you doesn’t seem enough. I loved every moment of the journey, and grew enormously in my understanding and vision both politically and spiritually.
It has been a real privilege to go on this trip. It certainly has enlarged our horizons and your leadership of such a friendly group made the pilgrimage very special for us.
We all gained so much from what we saw and heard, and also from the friendships we made.

Are you looking to make a pilgrim journey?

Welcome

We invite you to join us on a journey of encounter with people, cultures, and faiths. Travelling beyond the tourist sights of the Middle East, Africa and Asia, we visit local communities, and learn of their history, their culture, and the issues that affect their lives today. We especially seek to meet and share with local Christian communities of all denominations.

Where possible we meet with community and religious leaders. In places often in the news, our encounters seek to go beyond the media image, and gain an insight into social, political and religious realities.

Our journeys are not simply holidays, or just pilgrimages that 'visit the sights', but they are transformative encounters, by which participants are enriched and informed, and through which we also seek to benefit the communities we visit.

In 2010, we shall undertake a very special visit to Jordan, which as well as visiting some of the most impressive historical sites in the world, and the opportunity to visit local Christian communities, will include 4 full days of walking in a variety of spectacular and ancient landscapes. (Vehicle back-up will carry our luggage on these days). We shall also undertake another ever-popular 10 day visit to Israel and Palestine.

2011 sees two new experiences being offered. The first is a short visit to Krakow and Auschwitz in March. This promises to be a moving and special experience, both to the beautiful city of Krakow, and an encounter with the realities of what occurred at Auschwitz/Birkenau. We shall be staying at a comfortable hotel in the old city of Krakow and taking the opportunity for a couple or excursions to other sites near the city. In October 2011, we shall visit Ghana in West Africa. This visit will include elements of history – visiting some of the most important slave forts in West Africa; culture – visiting rural villages and projects; religion – meeting and worshipping with local Christian communities; and environment – visiting the last remnants of the rain forest in West Africa.

In 2012, we are hoping to undertake a 6 day visit to Lebanon in the Spring, and in the Autumn a 12/13 day visit to Syria. Watch out for further details about these forthcoming visits.

We look forward to welcoming you.
