Are you looking to make a pilgrim journey?
Welcome
We invite you to join us on a journey of encounter with people, cultures, and faiths. Travelling beyond the tourist sights of the Middle East, Africa and Asia, we visit local communities, and learn of their history, their culture, and the issues that affect their lives today. We especially seek to meet and share with local Christian communities of all denominations.
Where possible we meet with community and religious leaders. In places often in the news, our encounters seek to go beyond the media image, and gain an insight into social, political and religious realities.
Our journeys are not simply holidays, or just pilgrimages that 'visit the sights', but they are transformative encounters, by which participants are enriched and informed, and through which we also seek to benefit the communities we visit.
In 2009 we have one journey – our annual visit to Israel and Palestine. Our visits there have transformed and inspired the lives of many who have joined previous visits, as we meet with local people, and gain insights into the lives of the communities there, as well as visiting sites of historic and religious importance..
In 2010, we shall undertake a very special visit to Jordan, which as well as visiting some of the most impressive historical sites in the world, and the opportunity to visit local Christian communities, will include 4 full days of walking in a variety of spectacular and ancient landscapes. (Vehicle back-up will carry our luggage on these days). We shall also undertake another ever-popular 10 day visit to Israel and Palestine.
In February 2011, we shall have a very special visit to Ethiopia.
A note on costs ...
Please note that in the past year, due to the global economic crisis, both airline and internal costs around the world have increased substantially, and by up to 30% in parts of the Middle East. The prices quoted are based on the best possible estimate we can give at the time of going ‘to press’, but they cannot be guaranteed until nearer the time, or until all bookings are in. It is therefore advised that bookings are made as early as possible. If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to welcoming you.
